Charles B. Bayles, 95, of Severna Park, died at Anne Arundel Medical Center on November 12, 2013.

Charles was born in Jamaica, NY and moved to Severna Park in 1951 to work for Davison Chemical Division of W.R. Grace. He worked as the Facilities Engineer in the Research Division beginning in 1959. Charles was the former president of the Severna Park Improvement Association and enjoyed woodworking and photography.


Mr. Bayles was predeceased by his wife, Dorothy H. Bayles; and his three brothers, Allison, Heagan, and Ned Bayles. He is survived by his three daughters, Bonnie Molina of Phoenix, AZ, Sally Oxyer of Richmond, VA, and Nanci Benney of Whippany, NJ; two nieces, Abigail Wiebenson and Annelly Deets; five grandchildren, Natalie Molina, Ann Oxyer-Robb, Lyn Oxyer-Sellati, Christi Benney, Rachel Benney-Currier; and two great-grandchildren, Chris and Mason.

Friends and family may visit on Thursday, November 14th from 6-8 pm at Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Hwy. Severna Park, MD 21146. A funeral service will be held at 3 pm on Friday at the funeral home. Interment will be held on Saturday, November 16th at 10:00am at Glen Haven Memorial Park, 7215 Ritchie Highway, Glen Burnie, MD 21061.
