Cathy B. McCahill, 61, a resident of Arnold, died on November 14, 2008 at Anne Arundel Medical Center, after a two- year battle with breast cancer.

She was born on September 28, 1947 to Steve and Louise Bertha in Baltimore, Maryland and raised in Arnold, MD, where she was a longtime resident.

Mrs. McCahill graduated from St. Mary's High School in Annapolis.
She owned and operated, with her husband, Laramee Limited General Contractors and thoroughly enjoyed her part time position working at Curves in Arnold.

She enjoyed gardening, baking, and entertaining her 20-month old grandson.

She was preceded in death by her father, Steve Bertha.

Survivors include her husband, Joe M. McCahill of Arnold, MD; two daughters, Lauri C. Bowdring of Alexandria, VA and Aimee V. McClellan of St. Agatha, ME; grandson, Nathan N. Bowdring; son-in-law, Bill Bowdring; and her mother, Louise Bertha of Severna Park.

Family and friends may visit on Monday, November 17, 2008 from 6-8pm at Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Gov. Ritchie Highway, in Severna Park, MD 21146. A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, November 18 at 1:00 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be private.
