Catherine Elizabeth Townsend (nee Burns), 91, a resident of Glen Burnie, died on June 29, 2010 at Family Homecare in Glen Burnie, due to natural causes.
She was born December 22, 1918 in Baltimore, Maryland.
Catherine married O. Felix Townsend in 1958. They lived in Severna Park until moving to the Montego Bay Community of Ocean City in the 1970's.
Mrs. Townsend was a homemaker and enjoyed crocheting, sewing, knitting, making jewelry, and cooking.
She was preceded in death by her husband, who died in April, 2003.
She is survived by her daughter, Marlene M. Scheibe of Glen Burnie; grandson, Edward C. Scheibe and nephews, Edward N. Criswell and Michael McElaney; sisters, Gloria Jean McElaney of Naples, FL and Jacqueline Jeanette Simms of FL; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Graveside Service will be on Friday, July 2, 2010 at 1:00 pm at Nelson Cemetery in New Church, Virginia. Arrangements made by Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to one's favorite charity.
