Catherine May Over Steinkraus, passed away on April 11, 2011 with her loving husband and daughters by her side.

She was born on April 6, 1927 to Catherine and Andrew Over.

She worked as a secretary for many years with the State Legislature and as a legal secretary for Chester Goudy of Baltimore, Rouse, Underwood and Miller of Annapolis, and most recently for William Sherer of Glen Burnie.

Catherine was an active member of Asbury's Bible Study, which she really enjoyed and she sang in various church choirs since she was 13 years old. She helped on a MS bowling team and played bridge with her monthly group. She loved to play golf with her husband and enjoyed traveling to many places with him.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Anthony Over and her sister, Mary Ferguson.

Survivors include her husband of 65 years, John G. Steinkraus; two daughters, Linda K. Steinkraus Evans and Julie (Terry) Steinkraus Smith; five grandchildren, William W. Evans III, Jeffrey F.(Crystal) Evans, Steven J. (Rebecca) Evans, Samantha L. Offenberg and Lucas S. Smith; and four great-grandchildren, Megan A. Evans, Emily M. Evans, Katelyn R. Evans, and Tryden J. Offenberg.

Family and friends may visit from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm on Thursday, April 14, 2011 at Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Hwy, Severna Park, MD. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, April 15, 2011 at 12 noon at Asbury United Methodist Church, 78 Church Road, Arnold, MD 21012. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
