Catherine "Kay" A. Finn (nee Woods) of Severna Park, died on Sunday, August 24th, 2008 at Anne Arundel Medical Center, in Annapolis.
She was born in Lonaconing, MD on May 6, 1924, to the late Bernard T. and Jane E. Woods
She married her husband, Joseph T. Finn, in 1945 and lived in Western Maryland. In 1947 they moved to Brooklyn Park, then to Linthicum in 1956. Mrs. Finn moved to McKinsey Park Community in Severna Park three years ago.
Mrs. Finn was a homemaker and was very active with St. Philip Neri Church in Linthicum. She was a member of Little Sisters of the Poor St. Martins Auxiliary and volunteered at the Saint Martins Home in Catonsville. She was also a member of CDA Catholic Daughters and Court Mother Seton.
She loved music and sang in the church choir. She loved her grandchildren and enjoyed gardening, shopping and decorating during the Christmas season. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph T. Finn, who died on April 20, 2002.
Survivors include her three sons, Joseph M. and James B. Finn, both of Ferndale, and Michael J. Finn of Crofton, two daughters, Catherine Finn Dixon and her husband Clair, and Marnette A. Finn, all of Severna Park, two grandchildren, Spencer F. Dixon and Catherine Delaney Dixon; and three brothers, Bernard Paul Woods of Frederick, Robert Woods and his wife Ruth of Oakland and James Woods and his wife Libby of Cumberland,
Family and friends may visit on Wednesday, August 27 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at St. Philip Neri Church in Linthicum on Thursday, August 28, at 10 AM. Interment will be in Maryland Veterans Cemetery in Crownsville.
