Catherine Colleran, 77, of Severna Park, died of cancer Dec. 18 at home after a lengthy illness.

Born June 11, 1928, in Baltimore, Mrs. Colleran enjoyed gardening, travel, dancing and the beach.

Surviving are her husband, Eugene Colleran; two daughters, Deborah Jean Nichols and Kathleen Colleran-Nossick, both of Severna Park; five sisters, all of Maryland; three brothers, Michael Thompson of Florida and Charles, Donald and James Thompson, all of Maryland; and three grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Martha Smith, and three brothers, the late William, John and Robert Thompson.

Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. tomorrow at Barranco and Sons Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Highway. The funeral will be at noon Wednesday at Our Lady of the Fields Catholic Church, 1070 Cecil Ave., Millersville, where burial will follow in the church cemetery.
