Carrie Celia Phillips, a resident of Pasadena, passed away on December 25, 2022 at Baltimore Washington Medical Center.

She was born on July 22, 1928, in Washington DC, and was raised in Severna Park, MD. Carrie graduated from Annapolis High School. Her employment was in retail doing customer service.

Carrie was a member of Elvaton Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening, crafts, writing, painting, and taking day trips.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roland J. Phillips; her son, John R. Phillips; and her brother, William Saltzmann.

Carrie is survived by her daughter, Sharon Wood of Millersville; her sister, Barbara Ripple of Severna Park; as well as her four grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.

Friends and family may visit on Tuesday, January 3, 2023, from 2pm – 4pm and 6pm – 8pm at Barranco Severna Park Funeral Home & Cremation Care, P.A., 495 Ritchie Hwy Severna Park, MD 21146. A funeral service will be held at 10am on Wednesday, January 4, 2023, at the funeral home. The burial will follow at 11:30am at Maryland Veterans Cemetery Crownsville, 1122 Sunrise Beach Rd, Crownsville, MD 21032.
