Carolyn Brooks Plowman (nee Hill), 58, a resident of Arnold, died on April 12, 2010 at her home.
She was born July 21, 1951 in Oak Ridge, TN, raised in Wilmington, DE, and graduated in 1969 from Brandywine High School in Wilmington, DE. Carolyn lived in Severn from 1978-1982. In 1992, she moved to Arnold, MD.
In addition to being a homemaker, she held various administrative positions throughout the Annapolis area, retiring from the Big Vanilla Athletic Club in early 2000. She also volunteered as a crisis counselor throughout Anne Arundel County.
Carolyn was very involved in the sport of tennis. During the 1990's, she was a member of the Christian Women's Association. She loved animals, especially her dog, Monty. She also enjoyed entertaining friends and family in her lovely home along the Magothy River.
Survivors include her son, Quinn Dewitt Sanders of Hanover, MD; her brother, Ronald Hill of Bear, DE; her daughter-in-law, C.J. Sanders of Hanover, MD; and her grandson, Aden Sanders.
Service and Committal will be private.
