Carole Brown Walker, age 88, passed away of natural causes at her home on December 28, 2025.

Born in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, Carole was a longtime resident of Severna Park, Maryland, where she lived for 46 years. She earned her associate’s degree from Averett College in Virginia and went on to work for the Maryland State Legislature and later at Walden Golf Club before retiring.

Carole was an avid reader and found great joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved spending time at the beach, playing golf and bridge, gardening, and, most of all, being with her family.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Vernon Walker.

Carole is survived by her daughter, Tracey Jakovics Kersely of Massachusetts, her husband Ian, and their children Haley and Josh; and her son, Scott Jakovics of Severna Park, Maryland, his wife Kim, and their children Tenayie and Tsedeke. She is also survived by her stepchildren, Leslie Wilson and her husband Courtney Wilson of St. Augustine, Florida; and Craig Walker of Columbia, Maryland, his wife Georgia, and their sons Matt and Ian.

Carole will be remembered for her warmth, her laughter, and the deep care she had for her family. A celebration of life will be held in the coming weeks.
