Carole Jacoby passed away on January 13, 2026, at the age of 86.

Born on May 24, 1939, to William and Gertrude (née Graves) Bryant in St. Joseph, Missouri, Carole grew up in her hometown and graduated from Lafayette High School. She continued her education at Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, TX, where she earned a degree in Finance. Carole began her professional career at the NSA, and in 1966, she married the love of her life, Fred Jacoby.

After starting her family, Carole devoted herself to raising her children and nurturing her home. She was a remarkable mother, wife, and woman, demonstrating steadfast commitment to her family while also embracing her many hobbies, including tennis, golf, aerobics, gardening, and needlework. An avid traveler, Carole remained active in her later years, enjoying bridge, solving puzzles, playing games with her grandchildren, and reading. Her incredible love for her family was always evident, accompanied by her exuberant smile.

Carole is survived by her husband of 59 years, Frederic Jacoby of Severna Park, MD; her daughter, Andrea Nibert of Mt. Airy, MD; her son, Mark Jacoby of Washington, D.C.; grandsons, Connor Jacoby of Durham, NC, Gage Jacoby of Richmond, VA, Will Jacoby of Tallahassee, FL, and Alexander Nibert of Mt. Airy, MD; and granddaughters, Ashley Nibert and Abigail Nibert of Mt. Airy, MD.

Her gentle presence, poised peace and strength will remain in our hearts. At this time, the family is privately mourning at home, and a Celebration of Life will be held at a future date to be announced.
