Carole F. Gilbert, of Arnold, the third of five children, born to Henry and Vincetta Lechene in Patton Pennsylvania, passed away at Hospice of the Chesapeake on September 15, 2018 after a lengthy illness.  She was 76 years old.

Carole left home at the age of 16 and moved to Washington D.C. where she worked for a short time for the federal government.  Following this period, Carole began working in commercial property management, which she would continue doing for the rest of her life.  At the time of her passing, she was the President of Associated Property Management, for which she had worked over 40 years.

Carole enjoyed her cats, traveling, reading, scrap booking, and spending time with her daughter and granddaughters. She was a loving and caring friend, and also was an end-of-life caregiver for two of her sisters as well as two close family friends.

She leaves behind her only daughter, Kelli Meginnis, and her two granddaughters, Ashli & Kelsi Meginnis.  Carole is also survived by her brother, Richard Lechene and her sister, Sandra Donnelly.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Marge and her sister, Beverly.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Best Friends Animal Society of Kanab, Utah.  Carole was a long-time supporter of the organization which rescues and shelters cats, "promotes pet adoption, no-kill animal rescue, and spay-and-neuter practices".
