Carol Ann Richter, 77, of Severna Park, MD, passed away on January 26th, 2025. She was born on October 10th, 1947, to Louis Hacker and Emma Stangl in Allentown, PA, and raised in Coplay, PA.

Carol attended Allentown Central Catholic High School, then East Stroudsburg University for her bachelor's degree. She then attended Towson University and obtained her master's degree. She taught at South Shore Elementary school in Anne Arundel County for 30 years and loved being a teacher

She loved gardening, sudoku, crossword puzzles, being an Orioles baseball fan, and being a mom and Mimi. Carol was also a parishioner at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Severna Park, MD.

Carol is survived by her husband, Donald Richter of Severna Park, MD; daughter, Lauren Brutvan of Severna Park, MD; son, Evan Richter of Annapolis, MD; grandsons, Joseph and Teddy Brutvan of Severna Park, MD; and granddaughters, Stella Brutvan of Severna Park, MD, and Emmalou Richter of Annapolis, MD. Brothers, Gary Hacker and Karl Hacker, both of Annapolis.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, 689 Ritchie Highway, Severna Park, MD, 21146.

Family and friends may visit on Thursday, January 30th, 2025, from 4-6 pm at Barranco Severna Park Funeral Home and Cremation Care, P.A., located at 495 Ritchie Highway, Severna Park, MD, 21146.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 1st, 2025, at 10:30 am at St. Peter's Catholic Church, located at 4 S. 5th Street, Coplay, PA, 18037.
