Carol Lamon

Carol Ann Lamon, 72, of Severna Park and formerly of Kent Island, died of brain cancer Dec. 21 at the Severna Park Center, Genesis Eldercare Network.

Born Oct. 7, 1934, and reared in Northeast, Mrs. Lamon graduated from Northeast High School and Washington College.

She was a teacher in Anne Arundel County public schools for many years.

Mrs. Lamon was considered a devoted mother and grandmother who spent her time on the fields and courts everywhere watching games. Her enjoyment was her family and friends.

Surviving are six children, Christopher and Patrick Lamon, Elizabeth Taylor and Gretchen Steele, all of Severna Park, and John and Ben Lamon, both of Annapolis; two sisters, Nancy Riggs of South Carolina and Cheryl Atkins of Florida; and 17 grandchildren.

Visitation is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. tomorrow at Barranco and Sons Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Highway. Services and burial are private. Online condolences may be made to www.barrancofuneralhome.com .
