Carol Louise Degnan passed away peacefully on February 19, 2025.

Carol was born on November 15, 1935 in Bronx, NY to Roy W. Bush and Laura (neé Cohee) Bush. She grew up in the Bronx and attended Cathedral High School in Manhattan. She lived in Ossining, NY before she moved to Glen Burnie, MD. She worked as a secretary for the Maryland Tax Court. Her Catholic faith was important to her throughout her life, and she was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus Ladies Guild. She enjoyed old movies and autobiographies, but her greatest joy was being part of her grandson's lives.

She is survived by her daughters, Laura Degnan Burke of Severna Park, MD, and Judith Slater (Steven) of Glen Burnie, MD; her brother Raymond Bush (Ellen) of Islandia, NY; her grandsons Brian Burke of Denver, CO, and Daniel Burke (Gretchen) of Millersville, MD; her sisters-in-law Margaret Degnan of Wantagh, NY, and Marlene Degnan of New Jersey; and her great grandson Axel Burke of Millersville, MD. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Degnan, and her brother Russell Bush.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Hospice of the Chesapeake, 90 Ritchie Hwy Pasadena MD, 21122 and/or the Dementia Society of America, P.O. Box 600, Doylestown PA, 18901.

Family and friends may visit on Monday February 24th from 3-5 and 7-9pm at Barranco Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Hwy Severna Park MD, 21146. A Funeral Mass will be held the following day, Tuesday February 25th at 10 am at St. Andrew by the Bay Catholic Church, 701 College Parkway Annapolis MD, 21409. Interment will be private.
