Carol Scrivener Dayton, resident of Arnold, MD, passed away after a brief illness on February 20, 2014 at the age of 82.
Carol was born in 1931 in Catonsville, MD to Charles and Blanche Scrivener. She graduated from Catonsville High School in 1948. She met and married LeRoy Dayton and they gave life to three children: Jacqueline, Charles, and Diane. Their family moved to Arnold, MD in 1968.
Carol was preceded in death by her husband and parents, as well as her son-in-law, Michael Brown, and her granddaughter, Donna Brown.
Carol is survived by her children Jackie Richter, Charles Dayton and Diane Brown, 6 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 pm on Wednesday, February 26th at Barranco & Sons Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Hwy, Severna Park, MD 21146.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, February 27th at 11:00 am at Asbury United Methodist Church in Arnold, followed by a reception at College Parkway Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to SPCA of Anne Arundel County, 1815 Bay Ridge Avenue Annapolis, MD 21403 or Asbury United Methodist Church, 78 Church Rd, Arnold, MD 21012.
