Carol Bomstad Barney passed away on July 9, 2024.

She was born on March 29, 1942 to Roland Glenwood Bomstad and Jane Nichols Bomstad in Minnesota. Her career included time as an airline stewardess for American Airlines and working for NASA during the Gemini and Apollo space missions. She lived in Gaithersburg, MD, Vienna VA, and Florida before moving to Severna Park, MD. She enjoyed jazz dance and playing sudoku.

She is survived by her sons, Bruce Barney of Stevensville, MD and Glen Barney of San Diego, CA; her brother Roland G. Bomstad of Eugene, OR; her sister-in-law Susan Beickel of Eugene, OR; and three grandchildren.
