Carmen P. Mercado, 98, of Annapolis, MD, died of natural causes on October 7, 2009 at Genesis Spa Creek in Annapolis.
She was born on January 13, 1911 in Buenos Aries, Argentina and raised in Marseille, France. She moved back to Buenos Aries at the age of 18 and lived there prior to moving to Annapolis in 2000.
Mrs. Mercado was a home maker who enjoyed designing dresses and reading.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Fernando Mercado and her daughter, Gloria Mercado. She is survived by her son, George Mercado and his wife, Maria Isabel Mercado of Severna Park; her granddaughter, Marisa Mercado Dolbey and her husband, Charles H. Dolbey of Salisbury, MD; her grandsons, Adrian Reyes and his wife, Adriana of Alexandria, VA and Walter Reyes and his wife, Virginia of Buenos Aries, Argentina; and her great grandchildren, Gabrille and Chase Dolbey, and Sophia, Camila, and Lautaro Reyes.
Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial visitation at Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home on Saturday, October 10, 2009 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm.
