Obituary
Carmela M. Riley, 71, of Severna Park passed away March 14, 2018 after a battle with cancer. She was known to many as Carm, Cami, or Cam.
She was born February 7, 1947 in Baltimore to Edward James and Carmella Rose Mick. After growing up in Severna Park, she was a graduate of Towson and George Washington Universities. Carmela retired from the Department of Defense and previously worked in the Anne Arundel County Public School System as a mathematics teacher.
Carmela enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, boating, traveling the world, her professional career, lifelong learning, and her faith. She was also a caregiver to many of her loved ones.
She is survived by her husband of 48 years William Henry, son Edward, sister Shirley M Murphy and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents and brother Edward James Mick III.
Friends may visit on Sunday March 18, 2018 from 2-4:00p.m. and 6-8:00p.m. in the Barranco & Sons,P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home 495 Ritchie Hwy. Severna Park, MD 21146. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Monday March 19, 2018 at 12:00p.m. in the St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church 689 Ritchie Hwy. Severna Park, MD 21146. Interment at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Mercy Medical Center Baltimore, MD or Hospice of the Chesapeake.
