Carlynn Frances Eklof, 89, a resident of Annapolis, passed away on March 24, 2018, at home, surrounded by her loved ones.
She was born on September 30, 1928 in Baltimore, MD and raised in Catonsville, MD. She graduated from Catonsville High School and previously lived in Heritage Harbour, Augusta, GA, Drexel Hill, PA, and Dayton, Ohio.
Carlynn worked as a medical secretary. She volunteered with Hospice of the Chesapeake and was a former member of the Chartwell Country Club and was a Pink Lady at the local hospital.
She enjoyed playing bridge, golf, boating, and attending her grandchildren's sporting events. She also enjoyed smoking her "Virginia Slims".
She is survived by her son, Gary Eklof and daughter-in-law, Tracy Eklof of Annapolis; her daughter, Jennifer Eklof and son-in-law, Ricky Oakland of Annapolis; and granddaughter, Olivia Eklof and grandson, Michael Eklof, both of Annapolis. Also survived by her nephew, Stephen Adams of Daytona Beach, FL. She was preceded in death by her former husband, Harry S. Eklof, Jr.
Private Interment in St. Stephens's Episcopal Church Cemetery in Crownsville, MD. A celebration of life will be held at Gary Eklof's house starting at 1pm on Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at 5 Upshur Ave, Annapolis, MD, 21403.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of the Chesapeake, 90 Ritchie Highway, Pasadena, MD 21122.
