Capitola Herrmann
Capitola Mildred Herrmann, 86, of Severna Park, died Aug. 15 at Anne Arundel Medical Center from complications following surgery.
Mrs. Herrmann was born Nov. 7, 1920 in Vicksburg, Miss. She had lived for the past 55 years in the Round Bay area of Severna Park. She had a dental assistant certificate from the University of Maryland and worked as a dental assistant and office manager for Andrew Smith and previously was office manager for Dr. Trettin.
She was a member of the Annapolis Yacht Club, the Poplar Island Yacht Club and the Kent Island Yacht Club.
During World War II, she worked on airplane wing construction as a Rosie the Riveter employee.
Her hobbies were boating, knitting, needlepoint, sewing and gardening.
She is survived by one daughter, Capitola P. Herrmann Bradshaw of Severna Park; two grandchildren; and four great-granddaughters. She was predeceased by her husband, Edward Matthew Herrmann.
