Bruce Albert Lowman, 84, a resident of Arnold, MD died on August 12, 2009 at his home, due to heart disease.

He was born on May 01, 1925 in Brooklyn, MD, where he was raised and has previously lived in Belvedere Heights and in Arnold, MD for the past 58 years.

Mr. Lowman graduated from Glen Burnie High School in 1944.

He served in the Navy during WWII at the Naval Air Station in Annapolis. He retired from the Army National Guard where he worked as an aircraft mechanic for more than 30 years.

He was preceded in death by his late wife, Grace V. (Chiappe) Lowman, who died on January 29, 2006; his late sister, Catherine J. Hartman; and late parents, Bruce V. Lowman and Gertrude V. (Saffran) Lowman.

Survivors include his son, Michael Lowman and wife Nancy of Glen Burnie, MD; grandchildren, Kimberly Briggs and Christopher Lowman; great grandchildren, Ian and Ethan Briggs and Kaleb Lowman; sister, Dorothy E. Riggins of Glen Burnie, MD; and guardian of Mark Hartman and Karen Zurzolo, upon the death of their parents.

Family and friends may visit on Friday, August 14, 2009 from 2:00pm-4:00pm and 6:00pm -8:00pm at Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Gov. Ritchie Hwy, in Severna Park, MD. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, August 15, 2009 at 12:00 pm at Asbury United Methodist Church, 78 Church Road, Arnold, MD 21012. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
