IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Bridget E.
Shepard
October 13, 1966 – December 4, 2019
Bridget Elizabeth Shepard of Severna Park, Maryland, died on Wednesday, December 4, 2019. Born on October 13, 1966, to the late William B. and Dee Ann R. Schmidt, she is survived by her life companion Shadow Danial Mccarrell, sister, Eleanor D. Schmidt, brother, Roderick J. Schmidt Sr. (Rose Stark), nephew Roderick J. Schmidt, Jr., niece, Jessica M. Thornton (Brad) great nephew Harrison Thornton and many loving relatives and friends.
The youngest of three children, Bridget grew up in Fairfax City, Virginia, and took full advantage of being the baby of the family. She was spoiled by all and truly lived by the adage "I'm the youngest and the rules don't apply to me!" Since her youth, she approached everything in life with a smile and an insatiable appetite for knowledge. As a globe trotter, she traveled extensively and enjoyed it ALL from the 3 week family vacation out west to a year abroad as a student in Sweden to a safari in the African Serengeti, touring Venezuela, sailing around New Zealand or kayaking around the waterways of the Chesapeake Bay. Her interests were many. Music, art and making gravy at family gatherings also brought her joy. She was always full of facts and interesting tidbits of news from all around the world and frequently shared the links with those on her contact list. Whether it be her niece or nephew, family or friends, or even strangers at a bar or restaurant, employee or patron, she never hesitated to provide advice, guidance and levity to life's challenges. Any and all willing to listen, she was willing to help.
Bridget had a real zest for life and will truly be missed.
