We are saddened to announce the passing of Bret Alan Thompson. Born October 10, 1962 to Robert Thomas Thompson and Amelia Ann Thompson (Domenick), Bret grew up in Bowie, Maryland and was a star pitcher on the Bowie High School baseball team.

Bret joined the Army in 1983 and served overseas in Germany before being discharged and joining the family's electrical contracting business. Bret was a licensed Master Electrician and took great pride in his work.

Bret enjoyed fishing, sports (especially all of the Pittsburgh professional sports teams), and the company of his children. Bret was a really good guy with a kind heart and will be missed by all.

He is survived by his children, Amanda White of Baltimore, MD, Alex Thompson of Baltimore, MD, Thomas Thompson of Laurel, MD, Kelly Thompson of Shady Side, MD, Hailey Thompson of Shady Side, MD, and Bret Thompson Jr. of Shady Side, MD; his mother Amelia Domenick of Edgewater, MD; his father Robert Thompson of Selinsgrove, PA; his siblings, Robin Heaphy of Ellicott City, MD, Robert Thompson of Laurel MD, and Greg Thompson of Edgewater, MD and two grandchildren.
