Brendan Bernardo Castaneda de Haley passed away unexpectedly on February 4th, 2025. He was 34 years old, born in El Paso, Texas on July 12th, 1990, to Erin E. (Haley) Castaneda and Rodolfo Castaneda.

Brendan grew up in Glen Burnie, Maryland, attended Glen Burnie Senior High School, and has been an Anne Arundel County resident ever since.

More commonly, he was known as Spam and was loved for his outgoing personality and ability to make people laugh. He was an incredible person who touched the lives of everyone he met through his humor and acts of kindness.

Growing up, Brendan was an athlete who enjoyed sports, football, and wrestling.

Brendan was a plumber, working for All-Service and had many craftsman skills that he frequently used.

He loved the Baltimore Ravens, weightlifting, art, and has been an active member of the Woodbridge Kart Club; he enjoyed the thrill of racing and having a good time with friends.

Brendan lived a life filled with passion and heart. He was a light, an energy, and will truly be missed by everyone.

In Maryland, Brendan was survived by his mother Erin E. Castaneda, his sisters Gabriela E. Castaneda and Erin A. Castaneda, and three children, Landon Miller, Ava Miller, and Annabelle Castaneda.

In Mexico, Brendan is survived by his father Rodolfo Castaneda and three brothers.

He is also survived by his two grandmothers Mary Jane Haley and Edith Haley, his many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Family and friends may visit on Sunday February 23, 2025 from 2-4 and 6-8pm at Barranco Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Hwy Severna Park MD, 21146. A funeral service will be held the following day, Monday February 24, 2025 at 11 am at Barranco Funeral Home. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributes may be made in Brendan's name to "The Gifted Tree"
