IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Bill Wallace,
Jr.
March 16, 1933 – July 13, 2023
William ("Bill") Wallace, Jr., born in Newton Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on July 13, 2023 in his home in Pasadena Maryland, surrounded by his loving wife and children, at the age of 90. He was born in Newton, Massachusetts on March 16, 1933, the son of William ("Earl") Wallace and Clare Fay Wallace.
Bill is survived by his wife of 66 years, Frances C. Wallace, who lives in Pasadena, Maryland. He is survived also by two sisters Ethel Simone who lives in Massachusetts, and Earlene Rowles who lives in Pennsylvania, and by his two brothers, David Wallace and Douglas Wallace both of whom live in Massachusetts. He is also survived by seven of his children, Sharon Wallace, living in North Carolina, William Wallace III, Bryan Wallace, James Wallace, Michael Wallace, Beverly Wallace and Gayle Wallace Verreault, all of whom live in Maryland. Bill's daughter Christine Mclellan pre-deceased him. He is survived also by 19 grand-children and 18 great grandchildren.
Bill graduated from Newton High School in 1951. He served in the United States Navy, was a restauranteur in Massachusetts for many years (owning and operating the very popular "Bidino's" located in several Massachusetts locations) and provided food service to several Maryland
colleges and universities, including the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland.
Bill was a life-long, die-hard Boston sports fan, and everyone who knew him knew what a jokester he was. He loved to socialize, make people laugh and entertain friends, new and old. He was well known for sneaking a dessert before dinner at family gatherings, giving house tours of whatever house he happened to be in at the time, turning off his hearing aid when he was done listening to you (and not being subtle about doing it), and of course tending his lawn, which he insisted be pristine at all times. His greatest love however was his unbridled love for his wife, children, grand-children and great grand-children. If you knew him, you loved him.
He will be missed.
Interment is on Friday, July 21, 2023, at 10:00 am at the Veteran's Cemetery in Crownsville Maryland. His family is holding a celebration of life ceremony welcoming friends and relatives in Pasadena, Maryland following the internment.
In lieu of flowers, Bill's family is asking that you instead consider a donation to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. https://www.stjude.org
