Beverly Joanne Adams Imhof passed away on August 3, 2022. She was born in Hawthorn, PA and attended Red Bank
Valley High School. She married her high school sweetheart George Imhof when he returned from the Korean War and
they started their family. The family lived first in State College, PA and then moved to Maryland in 1970.
Joanne, as she was known to her friends and family, worked retail including the iconic Hutzler's Department Store.
Later she worked with young children at the preschool level. After her retirement she joined Curves where she made a group of life long friends. She and her husband George travelled the country in their RV along with their dog Marko visiting our country's National Parks as well as family and
friends. She and her husband George enjoyed travelling with friends as well. Joanne was an avid reader who always had
a book with her. Her favorite hobby was definitely shopping. However her passion was always her grandchildren
Christy , Jeff, Lindsey, Jesse, and Bailey. Joanne was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years George Imhof, her parents Lawrence and Helen Adams, and her brother Robert Adams. Joanne is survived by her daughter Linda Imhof Wright (Harry) and her two sons Gregory Imhof (Kari) and Roger Imhof (Beverly). She is also survived by her 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
Joanne will be interred along with her husband George at a future date in the Veterans Cemetery in Crownsville.
