Beverly Jean Barranco was born on April 19th, 1936 in York, PA to Chester and Violet Dellinger. As a child, she loved the outdoors and often picked wildflowers with her father. Beverly grew to be an inspiring piano player under the tutelage of her mother and was practiced enough to play on the radio. She graduated from William Penn High School in 1955. Following high school, she attended Union Memorial Hospital graduating in 1957 with a nursing degree. At that time, she met her future husband, Dr. Frank T. Barranco, and was subsequently married on Sept. 6th, 1958. In 1967, they moved with their six children to Lutherville, MD where they resided for the last 41 years. Beverly worked tirelessly (and effortlessly) as a mother, Boy Scout den mother, PTA representative, and Patron of McDonogh School. She worked as an emergency room nurse at Union Memorial and subsequently as an orthopedic nurse at her husband's office.

Her interests included piano playing, gardening, cooking, large family gatherings, and traveling with her husband, his late Brother, Robert Barranco, Sr., and her Sister-In-Law, Kitty Barranco. Beverly was a parishioner at Church of the Nativity in Lutherville.
Beverly succumbed following a brief illness from a brain tumor.

She is survived by her husband, Frank T. Barranco, M.D., six children, Deborah Kearney, Michael, Frank Jr., Tom, Susan O'Haire, and Mary Smythe and spouses, fifteen grandchildren and a sister, Annalee Burroughs, of Charlotte, NC. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at the Ruck Funeral Home, Towson, 1050 York Rd. Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. A mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11 am on Tuesday, December 23rd, at Church of the Nativity in Timonium, MD and burial at Dulaney Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Timonium, MD.
