Betty Zimmerman
Betty P. Venerick Zimmerman, 80, a resident of Severna Park since 1955, died of natural causes May 20 at Anne Arundel Medical Center after a yearlong illness.
Born Nov. 21, 1925, and reared in Pennsylvania, Mrs. Zimmerman was a homemaker and one of the original residents of the McKinsey Park condominium complex in Severna Park.
She was a member of Pasadena United Methodist Church and a former member of the Chartwell Golf and Country Club.
In 1948 she married Leslie M. Zimmerman, who died in 1996.
Surviving are two sons, John M. Zimmerman of Pasadena and Michael C. Zimmerman of Severna Park; one sister, Shirley McKelvey of Reedsville, Pa.; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow at Barranco and Sons Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Highway, where funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday. Burial will be private.
