Betty Lou Walls, 71, of Arnold, passed away peacefully at her home on July 31, 2009, surrounded by her loved ones. Betty Lou was a court reporter for many years before starting her own court reporting company Walls Reporting, Inc. in 1985. Betty Lou enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, and traveling.

Betty Lou was many things to many people, but a source of love and laughter to all who knew her. Betty Lou's constant smile was a testament to the happiness that was in her life. That happiness spilled over to all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Muriel Beatty. She is survived by her father, Robert Beatty, of Arnold, 3 daughters, Christine Waston, of Mt. Pleasant, SC, Patti Hundemann of Arnold and Vikki McElwee of Mt. Pleasant, SC. Betty Lou is also survived by her 4 grandchildren, Logan Hundemann, Amanda Herbert, Nicole McElwee and Casey Lowe. Betty Lou is also survived by 2 great-grandchildren Madison & Gabrielle Herbert.
Her partner of 20 plus years Cleo Ness, Cleo's son, Tim Jansen and daughter, Melissa Rodriguez along with 2 grandsons, Michael & Corey. And her previous husband Gerald P. Walls of Stevensville.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, August 5th beginning at 10:00 am to be held at Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Gov. Ritchie Highway, Severna Park, Maryland. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of the Chesapeake, 445 Defense Hwy., Annapolis, MD 21401.
