Betty M. Jager, 88, passed away peacefully on January 14, 2015. Betty was born in Oxford, England, the third child and only daughter of the late Ernest and Hannah Barnes.

Betty married Rhine Jager in 1960 and became a naturalized U.S. citizen in 1986. She was a homemaker who enjoyed reading and listening to talking books, camping, and traveling, particularly to England and several other European countries.

Betty was preceded in death by her brothers, Gordon and John. She is survived by her loving husband, Rhine, her daughter Janet Henson (Oliver), and her son Paul (Kathy). She was a loving grandmother to: Colin (Lauren), Adam (Bernadette), Seth (Suntarin), Lauren, and Katie. She was a cherished great-grandmother to Bailey and Bryce.

Family and friends are welcomed for a memorial visitation on Thursday, January 29, 2015 from 2:00pm-4:00pm and 6:00pm-8:00pm at Barranco and Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 30, 2015 at 11:00am at Harundale Presbyterian Church, 1020 Eastway, Glen Burnie, MD 21060.
