Our loving mother Betty Egan of Pasadena, Maryland went home to be with the Lord on November 2, 2009. She passed away peacefully while surrounded by her three girls after fighting a courageous battle with lung cancer.

Betty was born on February 27, 1941 to the late Winfred Lyle and Katherine H. Farrar in Lynchburg Virginia. She was raised in Baltimore, Maryland with her 2 sisters Pat Kohr and the late Francis Lange. She was a graduate of the class of 1959 at Southern High School where she developed lifelong friendships that continue on today.

Betty was an incredible homemaker who loved and appreciated being home to raise her 3 daughters Kathy Vito of Pasadena, Laurie Freitag of Pasadena, and Cindy Clayville of Arnold. She later joined the real estate team of Champion Realty enjoying the many new friends and colleagues this would bring into her life.

Betty was many things to many people, a source of love, laughter and support to all who knew her. Her constant smile and positive attitude was a testament to the happiness that was in her life and the happiness she wanted to bring to others.

Her greatest love of all and joy was being with her 5 grandchildren Chris and Cory Clayville of Arnold, and Dave, Zach and Maddie Vito of Pasadena. To her grandchildren who absolutely adored her she will be lovingly remembered as G-Baby.

She is also survived by her 3 adoring sons-in-law Ron Vito of Pasadena, John Freitag of Pasadena, and Bill Keull of Arnold, and close family friend Arlyn Marshall of Centerville.

Along with her many hobbies Betty loved to dance and play the tambourine and was a talented seamstress. One of Betty's favorite things to do was going to the casino playing slot machines with her friends and her girls. Especially, her spur of the moment gambling trips with her daughter Laurie.
