Betsy Lynn Ramlow (74) a resident of Severna Park, died on March 7, 2025 at her home. Betsy was born January 26, 1951 in Baltimore, Maryland; daughter of Roland Edward Ramlow, Sr. and Elizabeth Nita Dilley. She was raised in Severna Park where she has been a resident on and off since 1959. As a child she was a competitive swimmer and diver for community teams and was a student of dance and ballet classes.

She later attended ballet and dance classes at the Peabody Institute and at the Hartford Conservatory. As a young adult she spent a decade in New York City learning jazz technique and studying acting while performing in various shows, musicals, commercials, and modeling. She also performed in several summer stock shows in Beckley, West Virginia; Baltimore, Maryland; and Cohasset, Massachusetts.

After New York, she returned to live in Severna Park. She became an accomplished skier and snowboarder in her 50's spending twelve winters in Snowmass, Colorado where she managed an on-mountain restaurant. For years, she was an avid tennis player, loved sailing, liked cooking and gardening, enjoyed her book club gatherings, and participated in zumba dance classes. Betsy will be missed for her kindness, and the joy she expressed while watching another generation of kids delight in the same neighborhood amenities that she, too, enjoyed as a child.

She is survived by her one brother Roland E. Ramlow, Jr. (Bert Bamba Ramlow) and nephew Roland Eric Ramlow.
