Betty "Beth" J. Garritt, a resident of Severna Park, MD, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her loved ones on December 10 ^th , 2018.

Beth was born in Norristown, PA on February 15 ^th , 1951 to Robert and Gloria Pitman. She grew up in Dresher, PA and attended Upper Dublin High School. After graduation she went on to pursue a career in fashion at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City. Following her degree, she went on to work for Revlon, Helena Rubinstein Cosmetics and Nordstrom as a sales representative.

On January 28 ^th , 1978, she married Herbert "Spike" Garritt, Jr. at Flourtown Country Club and thereafter started a life and family together in Severna Park, MD. Beth enjoyed vacationing with her family, antiquing, watching sports, fashion and date nights with her husband.

She was a devoted, caring and loving wife, mother, sister and friend.  She is survived by her husband, Herbert "Spike" Garritt, Jr. of Severna Park, MD, sons Ryan Garritt of Severna Park, MD,  Jonathan Garritt (Ali) of Annapolis, MD, sister Barbara Sharples of Limerick, PA, sister-in-law Sheila Saunders (Jim Magaziner) of Fort Washington, PA, granddaughter, Logan Garritt of Annapolis, MD and her loving canine companion, Mason.

Family and friends may gather for a memorial service on Monday, December 17 ^th , 2018 at 1pm at Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Highway, Severna Park, MD 21146.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial contribution may be made to Hospice of Chesapeake, 90 Ritchie Highway, Pasadena, MD, 21122.
