Bertha Cook
Bertha Frances Martin Cook, 80, of Appleton, Wis., and formerly of Pasadena and Fayetteville, N.C., died June 5 at her home. She had Parkinson's disease.
Mrs. Cook was born Dec. 22, 1926, in Indianapolis, Ind., and was the daughter of the late Willie Clarence Martin and Katherine Eunice Nelsen. She was the widow of Walter S. Cook Jr.
A homemaker, she enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, playing cards and music.
Surviving are two sons, Larry Allen Cook of Carey, N.C., and Garry Wayne Cook of Raleigh, N.C.; two daughters, Linda Lee Cook Ferguson of Severna Park and Vicki Anne Cook Bahr of Appleton; two brothers and one sister, Willie Alfred Martin, Paul Eugene Martin and Marie Martin Holman, all of Indianapolis; two step-daughters, Marjorie K. Cook Gray of Naalehu, Hawaii, and Barbara K. Cook Simpson of Tucson, Ariz.; and four grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Mary Alice Martin LaReau.
Graveside services will be at 11:30 a.m. Monday at Maryland Veterans Cemetery, 1122 Sunrise Beach Road, Crownsville. Arrangements are by Barranco and Sons Severna Park Funeral Home. Online condolences may be made to www.barrancofuneralhome.com.
