Benjamin Michael Wastler passed away on July 13, 2023.

He was born on August 11, 1992 in Columbia, Maryland to Michael Wastler and Barbara Schell. He was raised in Annapolis and attended, Hillsmere Elementary, Annapolis Middle, and Annapolis High School. He went on to attend Anne Arundel Community College and earn his American Welding Society certification.

He loved basketball, boxing, running, swimming, gaming, fishing, and hunting. He was an N.R.A. Certified Expert Marksman, beer pong afficionado, history buff, avid reader, and a pet lover, especially his Golden retriever Buck.

Benjamin is survived by his parents: Michael L. Wastler and Barbara L. Schell, his aunt LaRetta Franz (Don), his uncles: David Schell, Jeff Schell (Lisa), and Allen Wastler (Jane), and his cousins: John (Demi), Sarah, Courtney (Alex), Caitlin, Kevin (Courtney), Carly, Cody (Zara), Isobel, Delaney, Amaya, Aliyah, Ava, and Ella.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Jim and Nancy Schell, Olan Lanier, and Linda and T.A. Wastler, and by his aunt Alena Wastler.

He had a big heart and a bright smile and cherished his family and friends.

A memorial visitation will be held at Barranco Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Hwy Severna Park, MD 21146, on Friday July 21st from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm. A memorial service will be held the following morning, Saturday July 22nd at 10 am at Barranco Funeral Home, with interment to follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery, 5829 Ritchie Hwy, Baltimore, MD, 21225.
