Benjamin Clyde Lathroum, 85, a resident of Severna Park, MD, passed away on March 20, 2017 at his home.

He was born on March 23, 1931 in Baltimore, where he was raised, graduating from Southern High School and the University of Baltimore. Benjamin married his wife, Margaret on February 1, 1950. He previously lived in Pasadena before residing in Severna Park.

Benjamin served in the U.S. Air Force from 1951-1952. He worked for Chevron, USA as a sales representative. Benjamin enjoyed sports.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret Lathroum of Severna Park; one daughter, Tamara Chilipko of Severna Park; one son, Terry Lathroum of Catonsville; his sister, Marilyn Schuster of Pasadena; his brother, Leo Lathroum of Parkton, MD; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, March 24, 2017 at 11:00 am at Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Hwy, in Severna Park. Interment will be private.
