Bernice M. Kosla, "Bea", 82, a longtime resident of Severna Park, died on October 23, 2014 at Genesis Severna Park Center after a lengthy illness.

Bea was born on April 4, 1932 in Berwyn, Ill. She received a Bachelor's Degree at University of Maryland Baltimore County and a Master's Degree at Johns Hopkins University and worked for the Nuclear Regulatory Commission.

Bea was a member of Our Lady of the Fields Church, where she was a member of the Holy Name Society, Women in Faith, Cursillo and the Mexican Outreach Mission. She also enjoyed playing bridge and gardening.

Bea is survived by her husband of 64 years, Al Kosla of Severna Park, her children, Bea Kosla of Crownsville, Andrew Kosla (Terry) of Edmonds, WA, Paul Kosla (Reyna) of Crownsville, Audrey Lee (Jay) of Crownsville, Ann D' Unger (Bob) of Irvine, CA, Jen Montagnino (Steve) of Severna Park, 14 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters, Patricia Sembach, Margaret Barth and Catherine Novak and her brother, Joseph Novak.

Friends may visit at Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home on Thursday, October 30th, from 3-5 & 7-9pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of the Fields Catholic Church, in Millersville on Friday, October 31st, at 1pm.

Interment will take place at the Church Cemetery with a reception in the church hall to follow.
