Barbara Jean Haske Lester, 92, of Annapolis died peacefully in her home on May 7, 2024 surrounded by family.

Born June 3, 1931 the daughter of Gerald and Thelma Haske, Barbara graduated in 1946 from Holy Cross Catholic school in Washington DC, she worked for the FBI, she married USMC Robert Melvin Lester Oct 30, 1954 soon moving to Washington State and starting their family living there and Southern Ca where she worked for Huges Aircraft before moving to Annapolis in 1975

She was a member of Saint Andrews by the Bay Catholic Church, and Morning Glories Ladies of SABB

She enjoyed Bowling, o rs Baseball, Ravens, gardening, her beloved dogs and spending time with family and friends.

She is survived by her children Robert M Lester ( Laurie ) and Randal D Lester ( Barbara ) grandchildren Brandy, Amy (Jeff ) Steve, Jason ( Kari ) Tim, Todd ( Cassie )   Ryan ( Francisa) Kate ( Kevin ), great grandchildren Kristopher, Shawn, Randal, Sierra and Carson. 2 nieces Shaon, Jacki, and Michael.

She was proceded in death by her husband Robert Melvin Lester ater 59 years of marriage, her mother Thelma, father Gerald and brother Michael Haske.

Family and friends may visit on Friday May 10, 2024 from 10:00am-11:00am at St Andrew by the Bay Catholic Church 701 College Pkwy, Annapolis, MD 21409 with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11:00am. Interment will be held at a later date.

Memorials in her name may be made to: St Andrew by the Bay Catholic Church or a charity of your choice in her name.
