Anthony "Tony" Jerome Moen, of Chester, MD, passed away on November 10, 2022. He was born to Amos and Sophie Moen on April 8, 1941 in Madison, WI. He was raised in Platteville, WI and attended Platteville High School, and then the University of Wisconsin and the University of Minnesota.

In 1961, he joined the US Navy, completing his service in 1965. He worked for the Goddard Space Flight Center, and the Comptroller of the State of Maryland before he retired. Tony was a member of the Fleet Reserve Association and enjoyed decoy carving, making many wooden creations for his family and friends. He also enjoyed fishing and hunting.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Julie Norfolk; and his sister, Patricia Moen. He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Eleanor Moen; his daughter, Laurie E. (Bruce) Miller of Millersville, MD; his son Robert C. (Jen) Fields of Parkville, MD; as well as 2 beloved grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

Family and friends may visit on Wednesday, November 16, 2022 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm, at Barranco Severna Park Funeral Home & Cremation Care, P.A., 495 Ritchie Hwy, Severna Park, MD, 21146. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, November 17, 2022 at 10:00am at St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, 689 Ritchie Hwy, Severna Park, MD, 21146. Interment will be at a later date at Maryland Veterans Cemetery in Crownsville.
