Annette Blanyer Thing, 89, passed away Sunday, February 7, 2016. She was born Annette June Blanyer on February 24, 1926 in Mt. Olive, Illinois to the late George J. and Martha L. (nee Johnson) Blanyer. She has lived most of her life in Severna Park, Maryland.
Mrs. Thing worked at Johns Hopkins University until retiring October 1991.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Robert L. Thing, Sr, daughter Pamela A. Bane, and son Christopher Thing.
She is survived by son Robert Thing, Jr, (Jayne), son Eric Thing (Susan), daughter Joan Hobson (Robert), 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

She was a member of Severna Park United Methodist Church, where she was involved in many activities.

Family and friends may visit on Wednesday, February 10, 2016 from 2-4 pm at Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Hwy, in Severna Park. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, February 11th at 12:30 pm at Severna Park United Methodist Church, 731 Benfield Road, Severna Park, MD 21146. Interment in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Annapolis.
