Anne C. Levin-Chiet, 49, a resident of El Segundo, California, died on September 30, 2013, at her home, after a 3 year battle with cancer.

She was born December 17, 1963 in Jamaica, NY and was raised in Merrick, LI, NY and New Paltz, NY. She formerly lived in Severna Park, MD and in Florida. Anne attended New Paltz High School in New York and graduated from Archbishop M. Spalding High School in Maryland. She attended Anne Arundel Community College for Business Administration and married Brad Chiet in 1999.

Anne's love of family and adventure took her around the world to the homes of her grandparents in Counties Claire & Mayo, Ireland. She traveled throughout Europe, East to the Dunes of Dubai, where she rode camels on the shores of the Arabian Gulf, and went scuba diving in the Indian Ocean. She obtained a captain's license to operate large sailing vessels from the Boating and Sailing Inst., FL, and operated a scuba-diving business in the Florida Keys. After traveling, Anne entered the advertising business where she used her communication skills. She was keenly interested in both town and school politics.

Anne was preceded in death by her father, Thomas J. Levin; grandparents, James and Josephine Breheny of Glendale, NY; grandparents, Tobias and Margaret Levin, also of Glendale, NY; uncle, Rev. Patrick J. Breheny, of the GLENMARY HOME MISSIONERS; aunt, Patricia Breheny; and uncles, Bernie Freitag and Eugene Formickella.

She is survived by her husband, Brad Chiet of Segundo, CA; three children, Hannah (13), Sam (12), and Max (8); mother, Mary E. Breheny/ Levin /Henry of Arnold, MD; her sisters and brothers, Mari G. Salafia of Lutherville, MD, Eileen M. Martin of Annapolis, MD, Thomas P. Levin and Daniel J. Levin of Pasadena, MD, and Brian A. Levin of Austin,TX; aunts and uncles, James E. Breheny of NJ/FL, Joan & Robert A. Burke of VA, Ellen A. Breheny, of NJ, Marie Freitag of FL, and Catherine Formickella of MA. Anne is also survived by 22 first cousins and many nieces and nephews who miss her.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, October 26, 2013 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 689 Ritchie Hwy., Severna Park, MD 21146.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a cancer society,Hospice of one's choice and or St.Vincent de Paul Society.
