Anne S. Katz (nee: DeRosso), 90, a resident of Arnold, died on March 27, 2011 at Futurecare Chesapeake after a lengthy illness.

Anne was born to her parents Louis and Rose DeRosso on January 6, 1921 in Brooklyn, NY, where she was raised. In addition, Anne lived in Manchester, NJ and Hallandale, FL prior to moving to Arnold in 2003. She married Abraham (Al) Katz in 1943.

Mrs. Katz was employed as a medical records clerk at St. Mary's Hospital in Brooklyn for many years. She enjoyed shopping and dancing and was a big fan of Macy's Department Store and Frank Sinatra music.

Mrs. Katz was preceded in death by her husband, Abraham Katz in 1997 and her grandson, Matthew Katz. She is survived by her son, Robert Katz of Arnold, MD; her sister, Mildred Masucci of New Jersey; her grandsons, Michael and Ryan Katz; her two great-grandchildren, Haley and Jamison Katz; two step grandchildren, Christopher & Jessica Wedlock; and four step great grandchildren.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday from 5-7 pm at the Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Hwy. A Mass of Christian of Burial will be offered on Thursday at 11:00am at St. Johns Roman Catholic Church, 619 Chestnut Street Lakehurst, NJ 08733. Burial will follow at St. Mary of the Lake Cemetery, 1 Honey Locust Drive Lakewood, NJ 08701.
