Anne D. Baker, nee Miller, passed away on October 29, 2016. Beloved wife for 62 years to Charles B. Baker. Born on May 8, 1933 in Baltimore to the late Frederick J. and Catherine A. Miller. Predeceased by her son-in-law Trey Smith. Survived by her children, Kathy (Ken) Smith Totushek, Chuck (Cruz) Baker and Barbara (Steve) Nienhaus. Loving "Mema" to her grandchildren, Kristen Smith, Julia Smith Simerly, Kimberly Smith Epler, Theoren Smith IV, Ellen Nienhaus Renner, Matthew Nienhaus, Patrick Nienhaus, Charles Baker III, James Baker, her great-grandchildren, Parker, Greyson, Cormac and Vivienne, and many nieces and nephews. Graduated from Seton High School, 1951, and the Mercy Hospital School of Nursing, 1954. She worked in hospitals in both Norfolk and Alexandria, Virginia. Retiring from nursing after 20 years from the Critical Care units of Mercy Hospital. A resident of the Charlestown Retirement Community in Catonsville, Maryland. A previous resident of Severna Park, Maryland, for many years. She enjoyed traveling, bowling, being a Girl Scout Leader, her condo in Ocean City, being a member of the St. John the Evangelist Altar Society and taking Art appreciation classes at the Arnold Senior Center and at the Anne Arundel Community College. Friends may visit at Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home on Thursday from 4-6pm and from 9-930am on Friday at Our Lady of the Angels Chapel at the Charlestown Retirement Community in Catonsville with a Mass of Christian Burial at 930am.
