Anna Mae Jakowski (nee Cox), 88, a longtime resident of Annapolis, died September 11, 2012 at Anne Arundel Medical Center, after a lengthy illness.
Anna was born on November 6, 1923 in Gatliff Kentucky. She moved to Niagra Falls, New York where she worked at Western Union during World War II. After a living in Niagra Falls for many years, Anna moved to Baltimore and then moved to Annapolis.
She was an avid reader and loved gardening, quilting and cats.
Anna was wife of the late Leo John Jakowski and the late Joseph Frank Terezia.
She was survived by her daughters; Carol Ann Kiffer of Annapolis and Kathleen I. Myers of Oakland, MD, 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandsons.
Friends may visit at Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home on Thursday, September 13th, from 2-4 & 6-8pm. The Funeral Service will be held on Friday at 11am at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery in Annapolis.
