Anna Marie Brower
78, of Severna Park, died of complications from diabetes May 28 at Baltimore Washington Medical Center in Glen Burnie after a lengthy illness,
Mrs. Bower was born Aug. 31, 1928, and reared in Baltimore, where she worked as a telephone operator for the former Chesapeake and Potomac Telephone Co. She married William J. "Jim" Brower Jr. and they lived in Lake Shore in Pasadena from 1952 to 1965. The couple moved to the Sylvan View on the Magothy community in Pasadena in 1965 and to the Carrollton Manor community in Severna Park in 1986.
Mrs. Brower was very family-oriented and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, playing bingo, gardening, flowers, painting and crafts.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by four sons, Daniel J. Brower of Chestertown, Thomas C. Brower of Arnold, Timothy P. Brower of Berlin and James J. Brower of Severna Park; one sister, May Bornscheuer of Baltimore; and nine grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. tomorrow at Barranco and Sons Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Highway, where a funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday.
