Ann Pinkerton Norris, 89, a resident of Severna Park, died on August 28, 2013 at Genesis HealthCare in Severna Park.
She was born on May 11, 1924 in Baltimore, was raised in Catonsville, and attended Catonsville High School for 3 years and Westminster High School for a year. She previously lived in Irvington, MD and in Linthicum, MD from 1950-2009.
Ann was a Registered Nurse with Church Home Hospital and worked for the Baltimore & Anne Arundel Health Departments.
She was a member of Federal Cadet Nursing Corp., Meals on Wheels (25 years, and National Society Colonial Dames XVII Century.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Caroline Pinkerton, and her sister, Carolyn Merriman.
She is survived by her husband of 66 years, William Ridout Norris, of St. Margarets; two sons, William Ridout Norris, Jr. of Severna Park and Thomas Pinkerton Norris of Ellicott City; one daughter, Susanne Elyse Norris of Kitty Hawk, NC; one sister, Isabelle Black; four grandchildren, William Norris III, Jessica Norris, Carrie Ann Lewis, and William Hill V; and one great grandchild, Jack William Lewis.
All services will be private.
