Ann Meinzer née Evanich, 87, died on December 8, 2010 at the Genesis HealthCare Nursing Home in Severna Park, MD, where she had been a resident for the past 11 years. Ann was born on July 4, 1923, in Hammond, IN, where she later worked as a waitress for 20 years. She spent much of her life in Whiting, IN, and, later, in nearby Chicago, IL. In retirement, she was a longtime resident of New Port Richey and Dunedin, FL.

Ann's first marriage to the late Stanley Girski ended in divorce. She was preceded in death by her second husband, Carl Meinzer, who died in 1989. She is survived by two sisters, Mary Kozdras of Clearwater, FL, and Josephine Janik of Mobile, AL; two sisters-in-law, Jean Evanich (John) of Los Alamos, NM, and Elaine Evanich (Bernard) of Hammond, IN; two daughters, Joanne Kuss (Paul) of Whiting, IN, and Caroline Chilla (Allan) of Pasadena, MD; a stepson, Carl Meinzer, Jr. of Streamwood, IL; six grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation and a memorial service will be held on Sunday, December 12, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., at Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, Severna Park, MD. Burial alongside her late husband Carl will take place at Meadowlawn Memorial Gardens in Elfers, FL.
