Andrew (Jack) Matthew Hudson Sr., 88, of Glen Burnie died on September 9, 2014 at St. Agnes Hospital in Baltimore.

He was born September 10, 1925 in Saltville, VA, received his Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering from Emory & Henry College in Emory, Virginia and during his career he managed a chemical company and later owned and operated Evergreen Genes Garden Center in Glen Burnie.

Jack served in the U.S. Army Air Corps in WWII as a tail gunner on a B-17 Bomber that was shot down over Belgium. He was a member of Pasadena United Methodist Church and the Severna Park Kiwanis Club. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting and fishing. He also liked playing poker, golf and swimming.

Jack is survived by his wife, Frances Hudson of Glen Burnie; five sons, Jeffrey Hudson of Linthicum, Craig Hudson of Severna Park, John Hudson of Severna Park, Andrew M. Hudson, Jr. and Jay Hudson both of Pasadena, 14 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Jeffrey Boz Hudson.

Family and friends may visit on Thursday, September 11th from 4-7 pm at Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Highway. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, September 12th, 2014 at 9:30 am at Pasadena United Methodist Church, 61 Ritchie Hwy. Interment will follow in MD Veterans Cemetery in Crownsville, MD.
