Andrew Jastrab
Andrew John Jastrab, 65, of Arnold, died June 16 of heart failure at Anne Arundel Medical Center after a brief illness.
Mr. Jastrab was born and reared in Johnstown, Pa., and graduated with a bachelor's degree in education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. He retired as a computer administrator after a 28-year career at the Social Security Administration in Baltimore. After retirement he taught computer classes at South River High School for five years.
He was a Pittsburgh Steelers fan, and his interests included computers, Civil War history and Civil War collectibles.
Surviving are his wife, Lynn Jastrab, whom he married in 1968; two daughters, Jennifer Brandenburg of Aberdeen and Marcey Jastrab of Keedysville; and four grandchildren. He was the son of the late Amelia Jastrab and brother of the late Amelia Yuran and Gary and Francis Jastrab.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. tomorrow and 11 a.m. to noon Wednesday at Barranco and Sons Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Highway. Burial is private.
