Andrew Anderson, a resident of Severna Park, passed away on September 30, 2011 at age 81.
He was born on Sept. 28, 1930 in Baltimore, MD, raised in Catonsville, then moved to Severna Park in 1966.
Andrew was a proud former U.S. Marine, a member of the American Legion and an avid member of the (C.B.P.B.A.) Chesapeake Bay Power Boat Association.
In 1974, Andrew and his brother Lenny started a marine construction business, which still operates to this day! Anderson Marine Construction was one of his greatest achievements.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Josephine Mary Seebach; daughter, Dixie Lee Anderson-Gebelein; grandson, Justin Andrew Gebelein; 2 great grandchildren, Tyler and Kay Gebelein; and his brother, George Leonard Anderson.
Relatives and friends are welcome at Barranco & Sons, P.A Severna Park Funeral Home in Severna Park, 495 Ritchie Hwy, on Monday, October 3, 2011 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm. The Chapel Service will be held on Tuesday at 10:45 am at Maryland Veterans Cemetery in Crownsville, MD.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
